One trail, many towns

The Northeast Texas Trail is a rail-to-trail conversion that links 19 towns across 7 counties between Farmersville and New Boston (near Texarkana). Wolfe City sits proudly along the route, and our segment is one of the best-maintained and most welcoming places to step onto the corridor.

For thru-hikers and cyclists

Whether you're attempting the full 133 miles or knocking off a section at a time, the NETT offers a unique cross-section of small-town Texas — historic railroad towns, prairie, woodland, and creek crossings.

Get involved

The trail is a community-driven effort. Volunteers, donors, and local partners keep it open and growing.
